Sauna360 Faces a Class Action After Infrared Sauna Recall for Fire and Burn Risk
Infrared saunas sold under brands like Finnleo, Helo and Tylo are premium home wellness products that cost $6,000 to $13,000. On September 17, 2026, Sauna360 recalled more than 41,500 of them after reports of panels overheating, melting and charring.
Weeks later, a buyer filed Raucci v. Sauna360 Inc., No. 2:26-cv-06505 in federal court in New York on October 15, 2026. The suit says the recall’s fix, a free in-home repair, does not make buyers whole after they lost use of saunas they paid thousands for.
Sauna360 has not responded publicly to the lawsuit, and the claims have not been proven. The recall itself is official and listed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

What Is the Sauna360 Recall Lawsuit About?
According to the CPSC, Sauna360 received 67 reports of saunas overheating, melting, charring or burning. No injuries had been reported when the recall was announced. The fix is a free repair by a professional installer in the owner’s home.
The lawsuit claims the infrared panels can short circuit and that Sauna360’s marketing and labels never disclosed the risk. It calls the advertising “false, deceptive, and misleading” and says buyers received products worth far less than they paid.
The plaintiff argues the recall “shifts the burden” of the defect to consumers, who are left without their premium saunas for an unknown time while waiting for “invasive” modifications.

How Do Other Recall Lawsuits Compare?
Recall lawsuits often argue that a repair or replacement does not cover lost use and lower value. Some end in settlements that reimburse out of pocket costs or extend warranties. Our McDonald’s E. coli lawsuit guide covers another case built on a product safety problem.
